Beer-week

home

If there was a beer capital of Australia, it’d have to be outback Australia, the top end or North Queensland, right? Wrong.

Well, for one week in November it’s wrong anyway. Welcome to Canberra: (for one glorious week) the beer capital of Australia!

Canberra Beer Week is set to galvanise the increasing interest in craft beer within Australia by bringing the best brewers and breweries in Australia and the world to Canberra, for a range of beer related events. The week will kick off with ‘Beer Day Out’ Craft Beer Festival, to be followed by six days of tap takeovers, beer dinners, beer trivia nights, meet-the-brewer events, good beer discovery tours, Canberra Beer Pong Championships and more. We are constantly adding events so check back often! Check out the Event Calendar by clicking on each day on the website for details like dates, times and booking contacts.

KEEP COMING BACK, AS WE ARE ADDING NEW EVENTS ALL THE TIME.

Tap takeover venues

The key to Canberra Beer Week is, well, bloody good craft beer and lots of it! And boy do we have a lot of great beer for you to enjoy!

It all starts in our back yard so get into your local breweries Zierholz and the Wig & Pen for beer that doesn’t get any better (or fresher).

Below is a ongoing line up of  Canberra venues taking part in Canberra Beer Week. These places might have one-off collaboration brews, to beers that have just won national and international trophies never seen before on tap here. If you love your beers from the US, Canada, Japan, Italy, UK, Germany, New Zealand or Belgium we have tap takeovers for you! Like your beers closer to home? Then try some regional breweries you probably didn’t know existed (but should!) like Hop Dog Beer Works from Nowra or The Thirsty Crow in Wagga.

Come back to this page, more venues will be added!
